The fans have filled the stands at Bearden High School hoping to catch a glimpse of some of Tennessee's finest.
One of the biggest surprises of the Pilot Rocky Top League has been the emergence of Sewanee (University of the South) junior forward Ben Purcell.
The BGA product was a standout high schooler who led his Nashville based squad to four trips to the DII state tournament.
As both a freshman and sophomore at Sewanee, Purcell has averaged around 10 points and 7 caroms per game.
His PRTL leading 73% field goal percentage will serve him well headed into his junior campaign at the DIII school.
With his 13.2 average for the First Tennessee squad look for Purcell to continue his steady play the remainder of the Rocky Top schedule.
